...but at the same time it might discourage my line management from allowing me to run this on our productive machines

So two things:
- It would be cool to use this kind of feature to produce stats
- It might be worth offering a solution without the tracking (maybe a registered version?!?)

What sort of stats are you envisioning? I'm not sure what you mean, but it sounds interesting.

As for disabling tracking, I've had a few requests regarding this and I'm going to begin work on a registered version. It will have domain-license and server-license flavors. The registered version will remove tracking and the "StyleManager" comments added to the combined stylesheet. Is there anything else you would want the registered version to provide?

So I did actually check and indeed my managers were not at all keen.

In terms of additional pay-only features, I wouldn't want to suggest taking anything away from the free users. Some people have small not for profit applications, and even those who are using it commercially will likely want to try things out with the free version first.

In terms of additional features for both free and registered versions I might think of something.

Right - all features will remain free as they are today. I will be adding two additional features - "disable tracking" and "disable generated comments" which you'll need the registered version to use.

Last night StyleManager 1.9.0.0 went live and it includes the option to register and remove the comments and tracking request.
